Description
D&H Secheron 309L is an AWS E309L-16 stainless steel electrode for joining dissimilar metals, such as mild or low-alloy steel to stainless steel, and for laying buffer layers before stainless overlays. Its higher chromium-nickel content dilutes safely into carbon steel without forming a brittle joint.
The extra-low carbon rutile-basic coating gives better corrosion resistance, a stable arc, low spatter and self-peeling slag for smooth, radiographic-quality beads. Suited to chemical plants, refineries, heat exchangers and furnace parts.
